Announcing the 2027 Ambo Gallery Exhibition Program

Eastern Riverina Arts is proud to present its 2027 exhibition program at Station Creative Workspace. The program includes eight exhibitions running February to November, bringing together established and emerging local artists across a diverse range of practice.

The program opens with community-centred group shows: The Art Factory's Works II will showcase a year of artists working with a disability in a professionally supported studio; The Wagga Wagga Art Society's Fragments and Memories explores the Riverina's layered history and evolving landscapes; and in May, Maris Herr and Joel Markham join forces for CONFLUENCE, united by a shared fascination with light and shadow, and how human expression is evolving in the digital age.

July brings the year's solo shows: Melanie Simpson's Anatomy of Silence, figure, fractured presents neo-expressionist figurative work on identity and psychological tension that shape our human experience., while Georgia Barton's SUBJECT MATTER examines how consumer culture shapes our sense of self through everyday ritual and objects.

The program closes with a return to place: Patricia Murray's A Thin Blue Line: Water, traces the journey of water within our landscape, reflecting the stories of past, present and an uncertain future; Chris Roe's Wild Yore retells the forgotten, weird and wild Riverina folklore in paint, collage and sculpture; and Kerryn Wilson's A sort of homecoming closes the year in November, with semi-abstract paintings that evoke a deep sense of belonging as she returns to the rural landscapes of her childhood.
